Goldthwaite is a town and the county seat of Mills County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,738 at the 2020 census, down from 1,878 at the 2010 census. Goldthwaite existed as a small village prior to the arrival of the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway in 1885.
